The used index cards are modeled after the cards used in the archives of the Museum für Völkerkunde in Berlin-Dahlem (today Ethnologisches Museum/Museum of Ethnology).Ther research was conducted on location in the USA, India, Hungary, Germany, Serbia, Morocco, India and Iran. The recent national and international political developments have triggered an overwhelming surge of fear, anger, pain and panic within many, including me.
The amount of “alternative truths” and fictitious historiography we have been asked to tolerate made us numb. The invented fact-free narratives political movements and governments have been constructing triggering thinking and actions without nuances are disturbing. This surprising Renaissance of black-and-white/they-and-us thinking has produced spaces.
